Tony Fenandes Underwear

Being a typical blogger, I tend to check on my traffic and also how people actually end up reading my blog. I'm always facinated by the keywords searched which ultimately brings the visitor to my blog.

I've seen people searching for my name several time, but till today, I have no idea why these people would want to search for me? Maybe its my friends or loyal reader who is so lazy to remember the URL to this blog that they have to google it everytime they want to check for updates.

Anyway, the latest funny keyword is Dato Tony Fernandes Underwear(the founder and owner of AirAsia, Asia Largest Budget Airline). Its really hard to believe that people actually go to that extend. Maybe Tony can start a budget underwear shop. or maybe even auction his underwear for charity.

Snapshot of the result page on Yahoo.
Now I wonder when will people google for my undies?

Its now 1.05am, I need to work tomorrow at 8am and I am still here blogging. We have like less than 23 hours to 2009. Before I sign off, let me leave you with 2 question to ponder upon. Whats your new year resolution? and have you fulfill your 2008 resolutions? ..
Cheers & have a great new year.

Tokyo is for Sale !!!

2008 April 18: Well this as you can see from the date, this is a back dated post, a rather outdated one. As Cheryl was craving for Pan Cakes for ages, my best friend Chien Ping decided to give her a treat, and off we went hunting for the so called best pan cakes in town.

We ended up in Paddington House of Pancakes @ 1Utama. If my memory didnt fail me, we were there at about 9pm. A rather late dinner i would say because the driver was busy with something else and refuses to explain.

It was my first time at Paddington, the decor is rather simple, guess you dont really have to invest much on the setting when your food is good.

The Menu

The Menu again...

This is our driver.

I guess this was me trying to cover my face from Cheryl

Cheryl acting innocent. goshh...

403 from the Menu: Mushroom ommelette, tripple chipolates, mashed potatas & Sour Cream

703: Treassure Box

This is Tokyo priced at RM18.50 (before tax). Cant really recall the taste, but it was not bad.

After dinner, Chien Ping paid for dinner and reveal why he was late. This crazy guy actually locked his car key in the car while at the office. So he needed my help, to follow him to his office and drive his car home. Now it looks like I has to be his driver in return. damnnn all for RM18.50 at Paddington.

Anyway, thats what friends are for i guess. As the saying goes, a friend in need is a friend in deed.... Cheers =)

Horrific near death experience

It was about 1am when I was driving along Sprint Highway, it was raining heavily and I drove as usual through the smart tag lane. Right after the toll, i drove up the ramp leading to TTDI & Bandar Utama. Just as I was turn at the corner, suddenly I lost control of my car. I could feel that my car was uncontrollably moving towards the left and I acted quickly by turning the steering wheel a little to the right, and then my car sway towards the right and again, I quickly turn towards the left.

A little confuse??? ... well basically i was trying to regain control on my car but unfortunately I was unable to do so, and my car hit the cement barrier on the left and it continue to move for at least 0.5 km before the car come to a standstill. and my car was facing the barrier with the left door facing the on coming traffic. Fortunately the Kembara that was coming towards the direction managed to stop in time. Otherwise I might end up in the hospital now.

Anyway, at that very moment my car engine was still running and my heart was beating as fast as the engine. I was totally lost, one moment i was happily driving knowing that i will reach home soon and enjoy a good night sleep with the rain through out the night, and then now I am in an accident.

I regain consciousness and began to reverse my car and steer it back on track and slowly drive back home. I was surprise that the car was still able to move despite making a loud squeaking sound along the way. I reach home about 30 minute later, got down of my car, and inspect the damage. Guess what, the entire left front of my car is gone, literally gone. Till now I am still shock and traumatise. My heart felt a bit heavy thinking how much the damage is gonna cost me eventually.

Sigh, what a night to remember. Now I can really tell people that the year 2008 ended with a BIG BANG. yeah that right. I am damn traumatise now while writing this, my hands and legs are still shaking....

Ah Yat Abalone Forum Restaurant

Last Thursday I had the opportunity to step into the famous Ah Yat Abalone Forum Restaurant. I didn't not just step into the restaurant but I also dine in it. It was my very first time into this restaurant and I must say that its very elegant and classy. Both in term of interior design as well as the service. The decor were just luxurious, or at least they made it looks really luxurious.

Thanks to Bernard, one of my client for inviting me who invited me to dine at Ah Yat Abalone Forum Restaurant. It's his birthday actually, and I was invited to join him and his company staff for dinner. There were about 9 of us and we were usher into a private room with mirror all around to make the room look spacious. It has a karaoke system and also a private toilet in the room, just like those Karaoke Lounge that sprout around Klang Valley. Shall let the picture do the talking.

The Menu!!!

Lets have a closer look...

Here's the address and contact, in case wanna plan fora birthday party. Sorry that my head block the number, its 603 - 7960 4988.

This is the first dish. Forgot what its call, but it comes raw and we have the option of eating it raw or cook it in the hot boiling soup .

Chinese Birthday Dinner is never complete without the Roasted Pig Pork.

Just some random shot.

It's Shark Fins & Bird nest. Yes my first time tasting Shark Fins & Bird nest Cooked together.

A must have Chinese delicacy: Abalone, Sea Cucumber and Mushroom

Steam Fish

Fried Rice

"Pork fried with salt" that's the direct translation.

Tiger Prawnnnn, I'm lovin it.

Bet you never tried this before, Bird Nest Egg Tart. Yes they actually put Bird Nest in it.

Steam Milk in Coconut. One of the best dessert i had so far. But I still like the Bird Nest Egg Tart more. LOL

Don't really know how much the whole dinner cost cause its rude to ask people how much it cost when people is spending you dinner. But I have a glimpse at the menu earlier and from the dishes we had, it likely to cost at least RM1500 to RM2200 for 9 pax.
Overall, the place is luxurious, not the most luxurious but its where the rich and maybe even famous Chinese business owner love to dine in. The food is good, but if you ask me, its a little over price. But the service is excelent, they actually assign a dedicated waiter in the private room. So everytime we need something we just look at the waiter and ask. Dont even have to put up our hands and waived like crazy.

I wonder when will I have such opportunity to step into Ah Yat abalone Forum Restaurant again. If any of you are planning a birthday party there, be sure to invite me ya.

Project staMNPede

Yesterday, DiGi organised a project, codename StaMNPede. It's huge project with involved mobilising approximately 1,000 yellow army(consisting of DiGi's staff from various department) with 30 express buses. These yellow army were dispatch to various location around Klang Valley.

The objective is simple, to stomp the street and to create awareness among the public about Mobile Number Portability (MNP) and to convince people that DiGi is offers value for money.

If you happen to be around PJ and TTDI area from 11am to about 3pm, you will most probably have seen a bunch of people dress in yellow walking around the street.

Tesco Mutiara Dmansara:Even DiGi's CEO Johan were out on the field.

Damansara Uptown: DiGi's Army Singing DiGi MNP Song, yes DiGi has a new song.

The Oval - 1Utama New Wing: The final pit stop for the day, 1,000 DiGizen gathering fora group photo.

Malaysia's Fuel Price is expected to tumble again.

Well I don't think it will tumble but the price will definitely go down judging from the current Oil price which is trading below USD58/barrel.

Some sources are saying that the government will announce another round of price reduction to the pump price from RM2.15 per litre for RON97, RON92 and Diesel. If this is true, it should be another reason for fellow Malaysian to cheer, especially so during this economy crisis.

Whether the source is accurate, no one really knows but my advice to you would be to wait till late evening before visiting the petrol station to refill your petrol tank.

Lets cross our finger and hope that the price will go back to RM1.92/litre.

I'm hit, I'm hit, down with Flu and mild Fever.

Damn, why why why must it be me? why must it be now? why must I suffer?

I'm officially being hit by flu and mild fever. Guess this simply means I wont be able to work late nights for the coming days. shhhhhhhhhh...

Feel like having baskin robin now, anyone wants some ?

Nuffnang & Nokia's Silent Halloween Party

My previous post entitled ‘I’m Going Silent this Halloween with Nokia XpressMusic kick ass, so much so that I was invited to Nuffnang & Nokia's Silent Halloween Party @ Borneo Baruk Cafe (BBC) KL. To recap, falls on the 1st of November 2008, and was scheduled to take place from 6pm to 10pm. Organised by Nuffnang and sponsor by Nokia as well as Universal Music, this event is another milestone of Nuffnang growth story. This is the second event by Nuffnang which I'd the honour to be on the invitation list.

As I' had a busy scheduled on the yesterday, one of my client invited me to attended a Super Model event at Times Square at about 2 to 4pm. I seek out in between to do last minute shopping to get myself a costume for the party. Guess what costume did I buy? After that I moved from Times Square to BBC. Arrived at about 6pm sharp but there were not much people around yet. So I mingle around till its almost 7pm, that's when all the people start coming in.
Because its my grandpa's 82nd Birthday, I have to leave BBC and speed all the way to Damansara Jaya to attend his Birthday Dinner. After dinner was over, I speed all the way back to BBC to join fellow nuffnanger at the party.
** I totally forgot about my camera today, so I have to rely on my bloody old antic phone, Sony Ericsson W810i. As it's only 2MP, the picture's quality is somehow quite poor. Sigh, those who have snap photos with me or of me, please send email it to me ya. Thanks in advance.

My Name tag!!!

Special Thanks to Nuffnang and the event sponsors for having organised such a great event and extending an invite to me. Thank You Very Much.

Its Raya Open House Again

Last Thursday DiGi organised a Hari Raya Open House. It was held at D'House, Lot 10, Jalan Delima, Subang Hi-Tech Industrial Park, 40000 Shah Alam. Various stake holders such as its loyal customers, business associates, Government Agency such as MCMC, rivals such as Maxis, Umobile, Telekom Malaysia and Celcom also took the opportunity to visit DiGi's infamous HQ aka D'House. The event was hosted by Adibah Noor, a local celebrity.

Despite the heavy down pour which causes some part of Shah Alam to be flooded. The event was held at D'House multipurpose hall known as TownHall. This is the place where the top management would have meeting with all of DiGi's employees on a regular basis. It is also a place where DiGi's employees play various spot ranging from basketball, to badminton, to pingpong. or even futsal.

An applause should be given to the organising committee as they successfully transform the huge town hall into a rainforest to blend with this year eco friendly theme. There were greenry everywhere and most of the guest were just simply amazed.

A view from the enterance. Notice the big screen behind? Documentary were being played on the screen.

The lights turn red as the night comes to an end.

There were just so many people around. I couldnt even find a place to sit down and enjoy dinner.

Most of the food and beverages were prepared by Westin Kuala Lumpur. So its guarantee Five Star quality in term of food as well as services. If only I had the time to sit down and enjoy the food. sighhhh...

Jason Lo aka J.Lo & I

Tony Fernandes of Airasia were suppose to be here for the open house, but due to his busy schedule, he ask J.Lo to be his representative. For those who do not know, J.Lo is a Malaysian music artist, music producer, DJ, Entrepreneur and also the CEO of Tune Talk Sdn Bhd(Tony Fernandes fast growing empire.).

Just like Tony Fernandes, Jason said, if you need a job, send me your CV together with this photo. (That's what Tony told me not to long ago when he visit D'House.). Anyway, I dont think I will be leaving this wonderful company anytime soon, cause I'm just starting to get the hang of it and actually lovin it.

The nicely wrapped pots of greenery

As the night ended, all the guest were given a pot of greenery as they leave D'House. This is with conjunction with DiGi new project entitle Deep Green which focus on preserving mother nature. For more info on the project please visit DiGi Deep Green.

‘I’m Going Silent this Halloween with Nokia XpressMusic

Yes, its been quite some time since I last attended a Nuffnang Event, with the last one being the Pajama Party. I've missed the Wild Live Blogging Party and I certainly wont want to miss this one because both Nuffnang and Nokia is certainly gonna rock the night with a silent party.

I also find it cool as its gonna be a silent party, how cool is that, telling people that its actually silent during the party so silent that you could even hear the needle dropped. Presented by Nokia the coolest Mobile Phone Producer and Nuffnang the wildest company in Malaysia, the party is definitely making its ways into all the major press. So how would I ever want to miss such an opportunity. I will also be a good time for me to chilled out after a hectic month of October whereby I'm busy preparing for the Mobile Number Portability(MNP) Service schedule for a grand nationwide launch on the 15th of October 2008(Will write a short post on "MNP and how it benefit you" soon).

For non-nuffnanger, you may want to have a peek at the poster below for more information on the event:

Nokia XpressMusic makes the Halloween party better because firstly its definitely gonna change the way we party. Imagine have 100 bloggers partying at Borneo Baruk Club, KL and there is no music at the club, the only music that we hear is from our individual headphone connected to at least an mp3 enable mobile device. Now the night would be even better if Nokia could give me a Nokia XpressMusic phone for FREE... Any Nokia People Reading this now?

Since I'm a poor guy, don't think I will be able to invest in a new set of costume, so I might be wearing this to the event.

Cute right? Maybe I shall do just that

So Timothy Tiah, am in the invite list ??? I will spend you for a of pastries at DiGi D'House Bakery.

The union of an awesome couple

I've missed the first ever Singapore F1 night race because I had to attend an event which is far more important, a once in a life time event that will mark a new chapter for my good friend Mr Soo Kee Loon. His big day or better known as his wedding day falls on the same day with the Singapore F1 Night Race. Apparently 28th of September 2008 is an auspicious day according to the Chinese calender.

Chinese being Chinese, the wedding ceremony was traditional one, with the prayer, welcoming of the bride and also not forgetting the tea ceremony for the elderly and also red packets for the kids. As usual, I shall let the photos do the talking:

The Main Reception of One World Hotel, Bandar Utama(Located beside the popular 1 Utama Shopping Center)

Cute little teddy couple on the official wedding car

The main actor of the day, Mr Soo waiting anxiously for the brides brother to open the door.

The Wedding Convoy which comprises of 6 brand new Mercedes Benz

The lovely couple finally arrived at their new home

Cheng Kiat a funny guys who never fail to bring laughter to people around him. No I'm not gay

One of the numerous task that the groom's best man were required to do being they get to the bride
Cyrus Soo & Sharon Choong walking on the red carpet during the wedding dinner.
Congratulation to both Cyrus Soo Kee Loon and Sharon Choong. Thanks for the invite, its a great wedding.
I still cant believe it that wedding these days cost so much. I was told that the dinner alone cost some RM90K plus. I've a deep thought after the wedding, all my friends are getting married and settling down, but I've yet to find the right partner. How leh? sigh, this remind me about one of Timothy Tiah's post where he writes about his relationship status of being single and available. Years are catching up but there is no sign of me settling down anytime soon, not to mention that I don't even have the moolah too. sighhhh

Singapore F1 - Asia's First Street Race & First Night Race in F1 history.

In less than 18 hours, Singapore will be hosting its first Formula One Race. Singapore will be creating history because this F1 is gonna be Asia's First Street Race and it first night race in F1 history. A check on the Singapore F1 official website shows that most of the tickets are sold out except for some luxurious seats which is selling for SG$5000 to SG$6500 (plus 7% GST).

As flying down to Singapore to witness the F1 race is a costly affair, I've decided to either watch it live on Astro Sports or head to FHM's Singapore F1 night-GP viewing party which will be held at Breeze Cafe & Bambo9, TTDI Plaza, Jalan Wan Kadir 3 from 7.oopm to 11.00pm. The event is sponsor by FHM (MediaCorp Singapore). Erm guess I'll be expecting some celebrities gracing the event.
Anyway, I wrote this post because I wanted to share something with you guys here, I've actually seen the Singapore F1 Championship Trophy. Mike, Simon & I was one of the first few who see the actual product last month during the media preview at Royal Selangor Pewter. So here is a picture of the Championship Trophy: See it before the general public does.
