Compounds & Summons waived

Yes Summons are waived, meaning you don't have to pay for summons you earn. But wait, before you start cheering, the waiver of summons was announce by Penang's new Chief Minister, Lim Guan Eng. This simply means that the waiver is only applicable for Penangnite only.

Just hours after he was sworn in as the new chief minister, he immediately get down to work by announcing that Penang Municipal Council and Seberang Perai Municipal Council will waive all summonses involving hawker licences and parking offences issued before March 11. So if any of you happen to have a summon from Penang, you will not need to pay.

Since the opposition won KL and Selangor too, I will certainly be looking forward and welcome such move in KL and Selangor, cause I have got unpaid summons in both territory. Pray hard *cross my finger* it will happen.

Looks like the opposition is desperately trying to win the heart of the rakyat and has started off on a right note by making that announcement today. A waiver doest not actually cause the local government any cost because its uncollected money from the rakyat. Will certainly look forward to more positive news and hopefully the opposition dont let us down. If they do, we are gonna suffer for the next 5 years before the next general election is called.

Merdeka Again!!!

The Malaysia's 12th General Election mark a new era of independence for Malaysian who have had enough of the ruling government. Since winning a landslide victory in the 2004, 11th General Election, prices of fuel has risen twice and it had lead to rising cost of living. There have not been much development and the ruling government tend to favour the Bumiputra(mainly their crony), causing rising tension among the ethnic minority(mainly the Chinese and Indian community). Although the ruling government managed to retain power in the Parliament, their influence has been greatly dilute, as Malaysian come out in horde(one of the biggest voters turn out) to vote against the government to show their dissatisfaction.

Racial tension, rising price of essential goods and and favouritism practiced by the ruling government has been the main factor causing the ruling government a crushing defeat. Now Malaysia is in a crisis, as political scene is on the rock, and the opposition might not have the necessary experience and financial muscle to run the government in the 5 states which they won. Our Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange and the economy will be expected to be going for a roller coaster ride, at least for the next 6 months until we see something concrete from the opposition and stability in the political scene.

On the brighter side, we can be assure that the fuel price, toll, electricity, water will not be raise so soon as the ruling government has more important things to do, to fix all that they have done wrong and win the rakyat support again. Will they succeed, that's a million dollar question. Do share your views.

Have you fulfill your responsibility as a responsible citizen today? Today's its Malaysia's 12 General Election. It's where Malaysian from all walk of life come together, and vote for their future. As long as you are a Malaysian, and above the age of 21, you an entrusted with the power to vote for whoever you wish to lead the government.

Was at the voting center at 10.34am, there isn't much crowd at the center when I arrived. Everything was smooth and conducted in an orderly manner. No shouting, or chanting by either side of the political party involved unlike the previous election. Registered myself, and proceed to the polling room. A police officer is placed outside each polling room. Everyone will have to queue outside the room and wait for their turn patiently. Upon reaching my turn, I walk in calmly towards a long table with 3 officers seated there. I gave my IC and registration paper to the first officer and he read out my registration number as well as my full name as per IC loudly. Then I proceed walking towards the second officer to collect my polling paper and then walk towards the 3 officer so that he could stamp on my polling paper before returning it back to me.

I was then ask to walk toward the back of the room where there are 2 table with cover up partition for voters to hide them self while casting their vote. There is a another officer seated on another table which I assume is the head for each voting room and an observer seated right opposite the HEAD. I walked towards the back of the room where 2 designated table with cover up partition to draw the big X in one of the box on the polling paper. Then i fold the paper 2 times before dropping my polling paper into the ballot box(which is transparent for the first time).

The entire process was rather easy and fast, thus I urge all Malaysian to go out there and vote. Whether you are happy with the government or not, go out and vote, don't grumble later when certain political party wins and make policies which makes life tough for you. Its your right and responsibility to vote for a better Malaysia.

Malaysia 12th General Election, full of laughter.

Alright people, Malaysia's 12th General Election is just 2 days away, and we could see political party from both side of the fence all gear up and the battle intensifying. We also saw the Election Committee (EC) scrapping the use of indelible ink just 3 days before the General election. This move heat up the situation further. After spending RM2 million on those ink which was purportedly said to be able to help the EC contact a fair and orderly election, they decided the scrap the plan. No matter what their reason are, RM2 million has been spend, this are hard earn money of the RAKYAT, surely someone must be held accountable for it. So will be held accountable?

The golden question remain unanswered, Didn't the EC conduct feasibility study on potential threat from the use of indelible ink? The move by the EC and the reason given (some parties plan to sabotage), is certainly not acceptable, because this clearly shows that the EC is not efficient it conducting its duty entrusted by the Yang Dipertuan Agong. Since Malaysia has been adopting the looks east policy, like Japan and Korea, I believe that the EC Chairman should admit his negligent, and resigned from his position or pay for the RM2 million in his own personal capacity.

Avoid going to Kuala Lumpur at all cost

The parliment has just been dissolved this week and Hindraf has just launched another rally this morning. Called the rose rally, participants of the rally carry a rose each while marching towards Parliment demanding for release of the 5 Hindraf leader which was detain under Internal Security Act(ISA) following the street protest last year.

With the election fever intensify, the opposition party and anti government movement such as Hindraf and BERSIH will surely be organising more street protest.

So if you dont wanna be caught in the jam or be arrest by the police, be sure you keep yourself out from the heart of Kuala Lumpur until the general election. If not, you will risk being stuck in the jam for hours just like some city folks experience during the first Hindraf and BERSIH rally earlier in October 2007.

Malaysia's Parliament dissolved, 12th General Election on the way

Short Talk: Just yesterday, the PM spoke to the press saying that the parliment will not be dessolved on the 13th February. And today, he made the announcement. The PM lied to us.... The Star

At a hastily arranged press conference at 12.30 at the prime minister's office, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi has announced that Parliament has been dissolved, paving the way for the 12th general election.

The date of the candidate nomination and election date will be announce tomorrow in an official announcement.

Fellow Malaysian, its time to go out and vote in full force. Vote wisely!!!!
