So I decided to get a quick fix and throw a party to people together. Thus I am inviting all my friends, colleague, work associate, my crush, people who are important to me and not forgetting people that I met along my life journey.

The party shall be held on the exact date which is 2nd March 2009. Details of the party are as follow:

Date: 02nd March 2009
Time: 7:30pm onwards.

This event is only planned on Sunday Night(22nd Feb) , subsequently I created a event page on facebook and started to invite all 420 people in my list. Respond is quite good and I have just call up the owner of the restaurant, Mr Xanthus. he is a friendly guys who is willing to meet up with me just with just an hour notice and I actually reveal my intention to him at 11.00pm just now.

Anyway shall be going for the food tasting this 26th with Jiaa Jiaa and another close friend of mine.

To all of you bloggers or my fellow readers, you are also invited. Just log on to my event Page, Charlie's Birthday. Due to the high cost of organising such birthday, I would appreciate it if any of you kind soul out there would like to sponsor and contribute to the event.

People who intend to come, please don't Fong Fei Kei lah, cause I need to get enough food and to ensure there is no wastage.

Being a traditional chinese that I am, I would prefer you guys to give Ang Pau(with money inside of cause, preferable 2 piece of RM50) instead of present. It will definitely help me from burning a hole in my pocket. But If you come empty handed, don't worry, cause I am a nice guy and I will still welcome you.

Just some house rules:
1.) Confirm your attendance by Friday 27th Feb 2009
2.) Don't FFK after you confirm.
3.) Be punctual
4.) Please don't bring your friends and family member just to enjoy the free food
5.) STRICTLY NO GATECRASHER
6.) Lastly just a gentle reminder, please remember to bring presents or ang pau with money to help subsidies on the cost(preferably ang pau but its optional though). LOL
7.) Be sure to bring yourself & ENJOY...

Hope to see you guys coming, Its gonna be a wacky gathering cause this is the only time I get to see all of you in one single event. See you soon

Even the Lion visit DiGi's D'House.

On the last day of Chinese New Year, most DiGizen (that's what they call people who work in DiGi.) was given a surprise when they turn up for work. This is because the Lion escape from Zoo Negara and ended in D'House, DiGi's HQ. The drum roars at 9am sharp, prompting everyone to leave their laptops and head to the foyer for the lion dance performance.

My first lion dance performance this year.

Is the economy really that bad that we seldom see lion dance performance these days? I remember when I was in elementary school, there were lion dance performance everyday & everywhere during Chinese New Year. Sigh those were the days.

I'm just too bored so I'm digging out some old photo's from my phone and post it here.

First birthday gift with T&C.

Two week ago, I receive a gift for my upcoming birthday, its one of the earlier birthday gift I've receive till date and surprisingly its not from anyone close to me. Sad case lah. The gift is something special, something that is useful in the current distress economy.

This is the surprise i got from my letterbox

It's a gift from Padini Group of Companies.

Birthday gift also got terms & conditions. Nowadays people are damn realistic, birthday gift also got T&C. sigh

I'm entitled to a 30% discount off normal price item and its valid till end of March. The only catch is that the gross purchase(total purchase cost before discount) cannot exceed RM1000. In other words , I;m only entitle to a maximum discount of RM300. Not bad, but I don't think I am ready to burn a hole in my pocket by spending RM700 on clothes.

The range of brands includes Vincci, PDI, Padini Authentics, Padini, Miki, SEED & P&Co.

My plan is to share this birthday gift with my friends, so any of you want to buy anything from Padini or Vincci? Lets share and used up the RM300 maximum discount. =) Sharing is caring.

Drop me a msg on facebook, msn or call me if you are interested.

An Ox-picious New Year?

During the recent Chinese New Year Celebration, the media creatively came up with catchy phrase to complement the Year of the Ox to help boost up sales during the current economic turmoil. The Year of the Ox is creatively blend with the word auspicious, a crucial thing for the Chinese celebrating the new year.

Practically all the adverts you see will be wishing you an Ox-picious year, and some feng sui master even says that they year of the Ox will be an Ox-picious one despite the global financial turmoil.

All the marketing gimmick and newspaper article gave me high hope that this year will indeed be an auspicious year. During the first few days of CNY, I became more and more optimistic as I was receiving alot more red packets(a.k.a Ang Pao).

These are some of the ang pao I've collected.

Delicious Ang Pau Packet from Jiaa Jiaa parent's.

However when the 15 days of Chinese New Year ended, and I began to calculate the value in which I have collected throughout the 15 days period, I was suprise that the total value collected is in fact 10% lower compare to the previous year. Its really shocking because I actually got more ang pau this year.

Money Money Money

With this solid prove that I have personally encounter, I dont think we will be having an Ox-picious year after all. The year of the Ox basically mean we need to work like an Ox and get little return.

The economy is turning from bad to worse. So be sure you spend wisely and conserve cash because its the only thing that will keep you survive in this tough environment.

My Car was being Featured on The Star

Just 2 days ago, my beloved car was featured on The Star, the country's leading newspaper. If you are a loyal reader of the Star, you will notice my car in the Thumbnails Section(A section which rewards readers for sending in photo's), Page N43.

Unfortunately for me, I wasnt the one who sent in the photo. My car was parked outside office few weeks back and someone snap a photo(no i did not commit any traffic offend) of with my car in it. The lucky guy actually won himself RM50. On the otherhand, I dont get paid, but just a short moment of fame.
