Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's day to all mothers out there!!!

My siblings and I would usually treat our mum to a nice dinner during Mother's Day. This year, we plan to do it differently. Yesterday we got up at 3am and was at Sunway Pyramid at 4am. No, the shops doesn't open until 10am and we were not there for freebies. We were there to queue up at Machines to get the much talk about iPad2. Yes we are getting an iPad2 for Mother's Day and we love our mum so much that we got up that early on a Saturday just to make sure that we get one.

By 6am, there were more than 100 people in the queue and by 9am, there's more than 300 people. We were lucky to be the top 30 in the queue. God knows when the first guy in line started queuing up. These people would probably be getting one for Mother's Day too. Yes, its not cheap but the price is Malaysia is still among the cheapest in the world.

Anyway decided to get the White(its a must to get white cause its the Apple official colour) 64GB iPad2 WiFi version. We decided not to get the 3G version because 3G service in Malaysia is still lacking in terms of speed and coverage, trust me after all I've been doing Enterprise Sales with the local telco for almost 4 years. The WiFi only version cost RM2099, RM400 cheaper than the 3G version.

Love the minimalist and simplistic packaging.

Right after we got our hands on the iPad2 with screen protector and casing of cause, we headed over to Lot 10, where YES flagship store is located. Yes, we decided to say YES to YTL's new communication service. We got a YES Huddle for RM1199, which comes with a FREE Huddle(Worth RM399), RM800 credit, RM400 rebate, Yes Life Account, and Yes email. Shall explain in details on why we decided to say YES in my next post.

The YES Huddle

Essentially the YES Huddle is a portable Broadband(Wimax) Modem with a WiFi hub build in that support up to 5 devices at any one time. We headed over to Lot 10's Hutong for brunch after getting our YES account registered.

Setting up is a breeze just like any Apply Products

My brother did the setup before keeping it back in the box and presented to our beloved mum today. Our mum was beaming with joy when she saw the iPad2. I could tell that she was excited with her new toy as she can now check her emails, Facebook, recipes and her research while on the move. That's our little way of showing our love for you mummy. It may not be a million dollar house or car, but its gift worth getting and we hope it will help you in your everyday life. On behalf of my siblings, Mummy we would like to tell you that we are grateful that you brought us to this world and we LOVE you very much. Happy Mother's Day.

Meet my new girlfriend, Omega

Some people say love at first sight is never real and it will never last, but thats not the case when I lay my eyes on Omega. At that instant, I knew its love at first sight and I've got to have to own her one day.

Being born is a rich and famous family that she is, getting up close and personal is not easy. During the early days all I could do was to take a peep at her through the glass display. My dream of getting her got closer when I was rewarded with a Watatime cash voucher from my company for outstanding performance and contribution to the company's business.

Courting her wasn't easy even when I have the cash voucher, because I still need to fork out a huge sum of cash just to own it(well to some people it maybe just peanut but its definitely a big deal for me). It took me slightly more than 2 month of shopping and thinking, thank god I'd an understand girlfriend that shopping with me again and again. Sometimes i feel that I'm worse than a girl when it come to shopping. hahah

On 28th February 2011, which is happen to be the last day of my voucher validity, I finally made up my mind to bring her home. I bought her from Watatime outlet at Mid Valley.

and here she is nicely packed and resting on my study table.

Before I continue, let me side track a bit; After I bought it from the store, I was carrying the Omega red paper bag on my left hand while my other hand held onto my girlfriend's hand. I remember clearly that while we were walking from Midvalley towards The Garden on the ground floor, one girl with a LV bag who is walking from the opposite direction gave us a stare with a jealous look on her face(bet she must be thinking that I bought my girlfriend an Omega).

The packaging itself is as impressive as the price tag put on her.

With the kind of price, Omega comes with an International Warranty and a unique serial no

It even comes with a super tick instruction manual

Out of 445 pages, I only understand 10% of it cause that's the only section in English. Honestly I didn't really bother reading, instead I asked the sales lady for to teach me how to operate it.

Love this embossed Omega logo on the red hot leather casing

And this is my new girlfriend, the Omega Speedmaster Day Date OA 32205000

Her vital stats are, Scratch Resistant Sapphire Crystal, 100 meters depth, and automatic chronometer movement.

Now that I've brought her back home, I realise that I have a big issue. She is so precious, I don't know when I should bring her out with me. Probably only on special occasion or when I have a major business meeting.

Frankly this is one of the most expensive item I've bought in my life thus far. What do you think of my new investment cum girlfriend?

Charlie's back.

My Private Party.

Last Monday I've throw a private party to celebrate my 24th birthday. The party was held at Frames @ TTDI Plaza. The turn out was fantastic despite having the party on a Monday as well as a heavy downpour in the evening.
I'm self was late to the party, really pai seh, host also come late. But I have a valid reason to that. I was stuck in the traffic from Subang to TTDI.

My surprise by JJ.

JJ prepared a wonderful surprise for me on that night. Halfway through the party, I was tricked by Chien Ping to meet someone at the car park which I subsequently found out soon after. About 20 minutes later, I was escort back to the restaurant with my eyes blind fold. Once inside the restaurant, I was asked to open my eyes and to my surprise, the lights were switch off and the entire restaurant was dark. As I get a clearer view, I notice that every had a glass a drink in their hand with red light blinking. Everyone started singing the birthday song and I was really caught by surprise. This was the surprise that JJ prepared along with some of my buddy Marcus and Chien Ping. They actually got plastic ice cube with red light in it, and these ice cube will light up when its place in water. That's so cool.

Good times really flies. Its now one week since my party and I cant help but look back at all the wonderful memories I had that night. Thanks everyone

If you have been following my blog closely, you would notice that my birthday is just around the corner. Life has been very stressful lately because I'm heavily overloaded with targets and figures at work. I'm so stress up that my social life have been a little screw up. So I decided to get a quick fix and throw a party to people together. Thus I am inviting all my friends, colleague, work associate, my crush, people who are important to me and not forgetting people that I met along my life journey.

This event is only planned on Sunday Night(22nd Feb) , subsequently I created a event page on facebook and started to invite all 420 people in my list. Respond is quite good and I have just call up the owner of the restaurant, Mr Xanthus. he is a friendly guys who is willing to meet up with me just with just an hour notice and I actually reveal my intention to him at 11.00pm just now.

Anyway shall be going for the food tasting this 26th with Jiaa Jiaa and another close friend of mine.

To all of you bloggers or my fellow readers, you are also invited. Just log on to my event Page, Charlie's Birthday. Due to the high cost of organising such birthday, I would appreciate it if any of you kind soul out there would like to sponsor and contribute to the event.

People who intend to come, please don't Fong Fei Kei lah, cause I need to get enough food and to ensure there is no wastage.

Being a traditional chinese that I am, I would prefer you guys to give Ang Pau(with money inside of cause, preferable 2 piece of RM50) instead of present. It will definitely help me from burning a hole in my pocket. But If you come empty handed, don't worry, cause I am a nice guy and I will still welcome you.

Just some house rules:
1.) Confirm your attendance by Friday 27th Feb 2009
2.) Don't FFK after you confirm.
3.) Be punctual
4.) Please don't bring your friends and family member just to enjoy the free food
5.) STRICTLY NO GATECRASHER
6.) Lastly just a gentle reminder, please remember to bring presents or ang pau with money to help subsidies on the cost(preferably ang pau but its optional though). LOL

PRIVATE Party - Nuffnang 1st Birthday

All good things must come to an end. The Nuffnang Pajama Party which I was eagerly waiting for weeks is finally over last night, and the event was a blast. Great food, good music, fantastic Emcee, lots of freebies, bloody interesting game, lots of Chun Chicks and tons of celebrity blogger. Its the first time I step into Borneo Baruk Club, and I must say I am impress with their toilet design. For you guys who have not been there, here's some picture.

Very simple yet elegant design.

Even the door lock used traditional wooden design.

Alright, guest you all must be wondering or even cursing now, aren't I suppose to talk about how the party was, post pictures of chicks rather than toilet!!! Well although the party has ended, I am will try to pro-long the excitement by making several posting with regards to the Nuffnang Pajama Party. So here's how things start:

Private Party, this means you've got to be invited.

6pm -10pm ah? Malaysian time, biasa lah, the event eventually kick start at about 7.30pm, But I've nothing to complaint cause I spend every single minute mingling and snaping pictures.

What I'm gonna wear to Pajama Party?

Many of you have been asking me what I will be wearing to Nuffnang Pajama Party. Initially I thought of wearing whatever I usually wear to sleep(a 3/4 pants and a shirt). Esther also said that she will be wearing house clothes(as of yesterday morning) because she is a student and dont wana waste money to buy. However, She change her mind later in the evening and this is what she bought:

Dam, she is so gonna kill me for revealing her secret.

Since she bought something so fancy, I didnt wanna lose out, so I went shopping at 1Utama this morning and got myself this:

Introducing Esther Chin(you better pay for this publicity)

Depsite not getting an invitation, I'm still attending Nuffnang's Pajama Party. (you must be thinking, what Charlie so thick skin eh). Well I'm not gonna just force my way through the door, thats for sure. I'm going because Esther, a loyal reader of mine is bringing me along to the event(how nice of her). Yeah, she got an extra ticket for me and she is bringing me along. Dam I'm so looking forward to Friday. ***Esther, so how's the arrangement for the Party? Dont FFK ya.

I sleep better with Chipster

Was really busy recently, due to work commitment, I was unable to blog for the past one week and I missed the "I Sleep Better with Chipster" contest. So decided to dedicate a post on why I couldn't sleep because I miss the opportunity to attend Nuffnang Pajama Party. Since I found out that the dateline was 2 days ago, I've been having insomnia, which explain why I'm still typing this entry at 2.42am(2nd March 2008). I've been starring at this picture below, but its didn't help, I still can sleep.

I guess the only way for me to get rid of insomnia would be getting a ticket to Nuffnang Pajama Party sponsored by Chipster. So would anyone out there be so nice and to give me a ticket and a pack of Chipster so that I could sleep better. So Timothy, Esther, KennySia, Pam, can any of you bring me along to the party??? Pretty Please... It would be the best birthday present any of you out there could give to me. Please help me so that I could sleep better, and don't forget to give me a pack of Chipster too.

A million thanks in advance.

My 2008 Birthday Wish list:
1.) a ticket to attend Nuffnang Pajama Party
2.) a pack of Chipster
3.) close more big deal and make big buck
4.) Apple I-Phone
5.) Sony Vaio

Okay, thanks for singing along. Now where's my presents ? LOL

Another Sunday Outing with Cheryl & Chien Ping

Had dinner at Sushi Groove @ 1Utama with Cheryl and Chien Ping and here's what we had:

Seated right in front of me is Chien Ping, my Banker(he is loaded).
Cheryl Leong my future Business Ambassador
Dinner cost RM126.27. Sponsored by Chien Ping.(Thanks Man)

(L to R): Cheryl, Me, and Chien Ping

Right after dinner, we went for movie, REDLINE. A movie with fast cars, hot girls and high stakes. Overall the storyline was okay only. But there's lots of sexy girl in skimpy clothes. I bet most guys would love it. Surprising Cheryl loves it too. She told me that she had change her preference and that it runs in the family. I wonder should I try asking Uncle Leong if what Cheryl says is true?

The movie ended in less than 90 minutes which was rather early, so we went to Starbuck @ Centre Point. We each had a cup of Ice Blended Green Tea, while gossiping about guys and chics. As Cheryl had curfew, we left Starbuck at about 10pm and continue our session at her house till her parents came back. Arrived home at 11.40pm, wash up and begun blogging this crap which I had just finish typing.

Tadaaaaa.................. Hope you guys enjoy the food.. haha
