Dailing 999 causes complete damage

As many of you would have known, I was attending Irene's farewell party last night @ Brickfield. As the party begin to heat up, I receive a rather surprise call from my bro, telling me that my neighbour's house is on FIRE, its wild and the fireman is no where to be seen yet.

Without thinking much, I excuse myself from the party, driving at nearly 130km/h from Brickfield to TTDI via Penchala Link. While driving, I tried to tell myself to be prepared for the worse and was thinking what valuable things I potentially loose if the fire spread fast as my room is just next to my neighbour. As the same time I was also worried for my family as well as my dog's safety. The feeling was intense and I just accelerate as fast as I could. It took me less than 15 minutes to reach home and here is what I see when I reach home.

I drove through the back lane and stop right behind this police car.

There was a huge crowd gathering a around the perimeter and everyone seems to be very concern or should I say busybody. LOL these are what Malaysian do best. My father was right behind my house busy spraying water all over my house to cool the structure and prevent the fire from spreading over(by this time the fire was already under control and quite small). From the back, my house seems to be okay.

However the rest of my family member's were no where to be seen, I went panicking and rush towards the front and 2 big firetruck was right in front of my house. I was relieved when I saw my mum, bro and sis standing outside safely, but wait a minute, my dog is missing.

Upon approaching my bro, he told me that the fire was under control and they tie my dog in the house. phew....

It was a long time since I last witness a firetruck in action

The second firetruck was just outside my neighbour's house

Lucky for the the fire hydrant is just outside my neighbour's house.

The crime scene was seal up within minutes after the fireman successfully put off the fire.

Dilarang merentas - Garisan Bomba. The place was seal up while waiting for the forensic unit to arrived.

Here there are - CSI MIAMI Well maybe not that pro but this is the Malaysia's version Fire Forensic

They are looking for the owner and key witness which obviously is my family.

The forensic begin searching for evidence in the house, and I follow behind them.

The staircase leading to the first floor was partially damage, so I didn't venture upstairs to avoid any mishap.

Even the ceiling fan melt beyond imagination

This is the kitchen, where the fire was said to have started.

The fireman said that its a total lost and the house structure is 60% damage.

The forensic officer in action

And this is a picture of the fire which my bro manage to capture while he was busy trying to put off the fire.

In summary, the fire started from my neighbour kitchen, spread quickly and destroyed the whole house but my dad and the fireman manage to prevent it from spreading. Both my neighbour's daughter and the maid were the only occupant in the house and they were safe(thank god). The damage could be reduce if the emergency number 999 were more efficient in handling such distress call. Apparently it took them 15 minutes to route the call to the nearest fire station.

Lesson of the day, always save the direct contact number for the nearest police station, fire station and hospital in your mobile phone. DO IT NOW if you have not done so, cause this can help save lives and minimises losses. Don't ever depend on 999, cause the they are paid to just answer calls like that they do in Transformers.

It's an offend to tell your wife she is not pretty

Did I caught your attention? oh well I didn't do that on purpose, the Malaysia Women's Development Department has proposed to amend the Domestic Violent Act (DVA) which currently classify physical abuse as an offend chargeable in court. If proposal to amend is passed, tell your wife that she is not/no longer pretty will be consider an offend because it is as a form of emotional abuse. Speaking about progress, Malaysia has certainly made some progress by making such proposal. For the better or worse, you decide.

DAP HQ raided for the first time in 42 years

As you are reading this, you might have already read it on the news that DAP's HQ at Petaling Jaya was raided by the Royal Malaysian Police force at 6.25pm yesterday 23 May 2009. I read about this news first on Malaysiankini.com and then follow by TheStar. It wouldnt have been a big deal if it was conducted professionally. But the fact that the Police raided without a warrant from the court and further seized a computer and 19 DVDs has raise a very big question mark in most people's mind.

Well even though I'm not politically connected and dont really fancy either party in the Malaysian politic scene, this recent move has made me ponder. Is this another politically motivated act by some big and powerful politician? if yes who could it be?

The Royal Malaysian Police force have gives the impression to the public that it is easilly pressure to act in favour of the rulling government. So much so that it has repeately tarnish its good name. The best part is that everytime when this issue is brought up by the media and public, someone powerful in the government will come out and blame it on a few bad apple in the police force. But no action will taken publicly.

Something, when we come to think about it, Malaysian cannot really live in peace anymore, unlikne the good old days that our parents enjoyed. Hopefully our new PM can live up to his words and promise and give us back the peace that Malaysian once enjoyed.

1.) I was critically ill when I was at the age of 3 and the doctor at Assunta Hospital certified that my brain was dead and I am no better than a vegetable. I was pronounce Human Vegetable then. But today, I am alive, and kick butts. It's a miracle & I'm definitely a STANDOUT!!!

2) I discover the entrepreneur skill at a tender age of 9 and I started buying things in bulk and selling it to my school mate. From Coke at the Canteen during recess to electronic goods. I was the first to be caught for doing business in school too.

3) I was one of the youngest guy to have ever got an internship opportunity with Genting Group in 2004. I work report directly to the HR Manager and Vice President at that time.

4) My friends and people in the banking industry saw the potential in me, in term of evaluating the stock market and I successfully help a number of people profit handsomely from the market.

5) I am among the younger guys to work with the Corporate Sales Department with my current company and one of the most successful one till date judging by the size of account I managed to identify and secure.

6) I am the only one in my company driving a 25 year old RED Car a.k.a by many as the Ferrari.

With so many first, I strongly believe I'm a standout in Life. Though some may say that pictures says a thousand words. I'm not gonna post any picture of my own except for this:

Are you a mobile geek? are the the type of person that just cant lets go off your mobile phone and must constantly be in touch? Cant live without being able to sms for more than an hour? Even when you are on a flight? Well, I've good news for you.

I was just read an article this afternoon from a local Business Magazine(Malaysian Business, March 2009 issue) and found out that Maxis has recently launch a new service in collaboration with Malaysia Airline System (MAS) and Aeromobile(a re known in-flight mobile operator). With the new service, you can now call, sms or even send & receive data while you are flying some 10,000 feet above sea level.

The only catch is that you have got to be ultra rich to be able to afford it. By now, if you are asking how much the service cost, then you most probably cant afford it.

Since you have already read this far, I shouldn't be so bad as to end just here right? Oh well, this in-flight mobile service is only available EXCLUSIVELY to Maxis Postpaid user at the moment. When its exclusive, its means you are special, thus you will be charged a special rate as well. For every minute of call make or receive, you will be charged a whooping RM15.00 per minute. That's 15,000% premium based on the lowest call rate of 10cent per minute charged by local telco.

SMS on the other hand is charged RM3 per sms send, that's a 3000% premium based on the average cost of 10cent per sms for postpaid users. Good news is, you receive sms for FREE.

Data charged is RM100 for every MB sent or receive.

Now you get why I this service is only for the ultra rich? Unless you a big time businessman or your company is paying for all your mobile usage, I don't think you will ever want to attempt using this service and burn a hole in your pocket.
If any of you rich people out there have tried this service, please do give your feedback.
